U.S. citizens visiting or residing in Spain and/or should
note that the emergency number for the Spanish police, rescue, and fire
departments is 1-1-2.
When U.S. citizens need emergency assistance from the U.S. Government during regular
office hours (8:30 am - 5:30 pm), they

When U.S. citizens need emergency assistance from the U.S. Government
outside regular office hours,

Call Center
The U.S. Department of State has a call center which provides information
on worldwide situations, which may affect U.S. Citizens. They also provide
general information.
Operators are available Monday through Friday:
8 AM to 8 PM, EST, and during crisis situations: 24 hours a day.
