CAMP/WORK OPPORTUNITIES IN THE UNITED STATES
AMITY
Scholarship Program. Amity Institute offers teaching-study scholarships for Spanish-speaking university
students (specializing in languages, linguistics, teaching or related fields) to assist in secondary school
foreign language instruction for periods of varying lengths during the academic year. Participants receive
free classes, room and board with an American family, insurance, a small allowance and some extras. Applicants
must be from 20 to 30 years of age and have a good level of English. The Admission Counselor in California is

CAMP AMERICA
Enables students to work as camp counselors in summer camps. They are able to apply for
different kinds of camp programs and positions. Participants are paid transportation, room and

IAESTE-U.S. (International Association of the Exchange of Students for Technical
Experience).
Reciprocal exchange program arranged through students' College or center providing on-the-job training for
students in engineering, architecture, agriculture, mathematics and the sciences who have completed at least
two years of university study and are between the ages of 18 and 30. The main requirement is to be enrolled
full time or in any 4 year college in the U.S. Your position must be directly related to your field of study. Stipends
cover living expense but the trainee must pay travel, insurance and
incidentals. Short-term (4) weeks in summer and long-term (3-12 months) placement available.

International Youth and Camping Services
The International Camp Counselor Program offers work as camp counselors in summer camps for children in the
U.S. You must be 20-24. Acceptable knowledge of English is required. International Programs are also offered
