Non-Immigrant Visa Processing Instructions
Who needs a visa?
Everyone traveling to the US as Temporary workers, Students, Exchange
visitors, Religious workers, Performers & Artists, Crew, and Journalist/Media
representatives need visas. Nationals of many countries require visas for
tourist or business trips as well. Spanish and Andorran citizens traveling for business or pleasure for
visits up to 90 days may do so without a visa under the
Visa Waiver Program (VWP) as long as they present a round-trip
ticket when they enter the US. This visa free travel applies to nationals of 27 nations: Andorra, Australia,
Austria, Belgium, Brunei,
Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan,
Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal,
San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. Information regarding

All visitors to the US must travel on either a
machine-readable passport or a machine-readable US visa. All travelers on the
VWP must travel on Machine Readable Passports (Including Andorra
passports). The new format of Spanish passports is Machine Readable.

Additionally, any passports issued after October, 26 2005 must be machine-readable
and contain a digital photo in order to qualify for the Visa Waiver Program.
The new format of the Spanish

Information for non-Spanish Applicants:
If you are a resident of Spain, regardless of your
nationality, you can apply for your visa in Spain. During the interview, you
will have to prove that you have binding economic and social ties to Spain.
If you have both Spanish nationality and the nationality
of another country, you should apply in your country of normal residency.
If you are not a resident of Spain you should apply in
your country of residency.
