Houston, Texas, May 16-18, 2008
The United States-Spain Council and the Fundación Consejo España – Estados
Unidos held their XIII Annual Foro in Houston, Texas, on May 16-18, 2008.
In this edition, three main subjects were discussed: “Corporate Governance in
LatinAmerica”, “Infrastructure Development and Financing in the US” and
“Renewable Energy - Current Trends”. Among other personalities, the following
atended the Houston meetings: Minister of Foreign Affaires and Cooperation,
Miguel Angel Moratinos, the Chairman of the United States-Spain Council, Senator
Mel Martinez, and the Chairman of the Fundación Consejo España-Estados Unidos,
José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, the Secretary of State for Foreing Affaire, Ángel
Losada, the Assistant Secretary of State at the Bureau of Western Hemisphere
Affairs,
Tom Shannon, as well as the Ambassadors of the United States in Spain, Eduardo
Aguirre, and the Spain in the United States, Carlos Westendorp.
